I started this business several years ago when I wanted to help my husband out with our family income but at the same time staying home with our toddler and infant daughters. We already had four children and it seemed like we were always short of money. I started sewing when I was 12 and had many years experience since. I began to think that sewing boat covers and reupholstering boat seats couldn't be too much more difficult than altering or sewing clothes for people. I decided to branch out into that field and God has blessed me considerably since doing so.

With so many children I was always telling or reading stories to them, especially Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes. I wanted to pick a name that would stand out from all others and one that people would remember. The logical conclusion was something from Mother Goose that would fit our family situation. Hence, Mother Hubbard (without the Old!). That's how Mother Hubbard's Sewing came to be. I find the work rewarding and challenging and am looking forward to serving you in your marine, industrial or upholstery sewing needs.
